Fabia VRS 2005 First Drive & Micro Review | Skoda Heritage Fleet

in #cars6 years ago

You'll remember a few weeks ago we attended the new Fabia launch, and we tested a 3 cylinder 1L model the SE L, well Skoda took one of their heritage cars.

Yes, it boggles the mind to think which model and early 80's model or something a little newer, well they let us get behind the wheel of the first generation of the Fabia VRS.

A torquey animal with 130bhp, however the clever thing about this car is it's a Turbo diesel meaning good economy too, believe it or not 50 or so mpg out of a 1.9.

This car is awesome a real pocket rocket, some call it a warm hatch others a hot hatch, we say a hot hatch, it handles like it's on rails, and accelerates quickly too.

Watch as the guys have some fun arguably the first turbo diesel hot hatch.
