This index means that the oil does not lose its viscosity at a temperature of -15 degrees. In severe frosts up to -30 degrees, it is better to use a multigrade engine oil that contains a 5W or 0W marking and maintains its viscosity at very low temperatures. For frost, synthetic motor oils are best suited.
