LOTUS OMEGA

General Motors in 1986 took over the Lotus company. They wanted to create a car that could compete with the BMW M5 or the Mercedes 500E. Then Lotus Omega appeared, the prototype was shown in 1989, and the premiere took place in 1990.
It was modified Opel Omega A.

Added widened body and body kit, special "Imperial Green" color, rims designed specifically for this model, and dedicated Goodyear tires with dimensions 235/45 ZR17-front, rear 265/40 ZR17.

Power

17.3 seconds - that's enough for the Lotus Omega to accelerate to 200 km / h The double-buffered 3.6-liter engine, generating 377 hp, allowed it to receive the title of the fastest sedan in the world in the early 90's. Performance was better than, say, Ferrari Testarossa.

The Omega was equipped with a six-speed manual transmission with a Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 via which power was transmitted to the rear wheels.

Equipment

As standard, the car was equipped with air conditioning, electric window control, electric mirror control and leather upholstery.

This car is now history.
