Glove-Box Installation For Stealth Water Methanol Injection - [SH2OMI] - Update 17.02.2018
Hello fellow Steem Meisters,
Another busy day here at Egg HQ where I've just spent a couple of hours tweaking the wiring for the boost gauge and switch gear. I've had to try several attempts of routing the wiring so that the unit can fit as flush as possible to the inside far corner of the glove-box. I've also had to drill out several holes to also allow for the a better fit. A large one (a) for the top of the boost gauge, two on either side for the gauge bracket (b & c), one for the boost pipe/electric wiring (d) and a final couple of small ones (e) to feed a tie-wrap through the boost gauge bracket to hold the unit in situ.
tidied up the wiring
removed upper glove-box and drilled holes
you can just see the boost pipe hose connector
cheeky tie-wrap to hold unit in place
test fit
I might source some black self-adhesive foam cushioning to place around the back-side edge of the unit to help prevent light escaping from the rear of the unit when the bright orange 'active' LED is on.
