Carnivore 75 Hard Redux: Day 35


Nutrition & Healing


23 hours fasted. That's pretty standard for me on weekdays. That happens because I cook my one meal of the day a little bit after I get home from work and then I start fasting again until I repeat the next day. My one meal was also a staple of mine. It was a pound of beef that I got from Colorado Craft Beef, seven eggs, and seven strips of bacon. I raised the number of eggs and bacon a little bit because I've cut out cheese. I was satiated after eating all of that, so that was good enough for me. I think that some days, I'll definitely need to eat more than that.

Mindset

This is a great and pretty short interview with Dr. Paul Saladino, who has recently released a book called The Carnivore Code. A lot of what he talks about in this interview, he mentions "I talk about this in my book." It sounds like a really interesting read, so I actually ordered it while I was watching this interview.

Understandably, a lot of people have some pretty negative views about a diet which doesn't include any plants, and there are a lot of myths surrounding it. Dr. Saladino goes into some detail about why those myths are incorrect in this interview and, I imagine, much more detail in the book. Time will tell! I'll get it tomorrow already thanks to the devil Amazon.

Movement

Just barely over 10,000 steps again, but that's good enough. If you meet your goal, you meet your goal. Somehow, I've reminded myself of the movie Office Space and the pieces of flair and when Mike Judge's manager character asks Jennifer Aniston's server character of her pieces of flair, "what do you think about a person who only does the bare minimum?"
