Strawberry Ice buds from a Grow Last Summer
Ice Ice baby, too cold, too cold...
This Corona physical distancing has left me with extra time on my hands... I was cleaning out the shed and came across these forgotten and untrimmed Strawberry Ice buds that I grew on the patio last summer... score :)
It was a little plant, about 2 feet tall with an interesting minty and herbal scent to it. The Strawberry Ice strain is a 60% sativa / 40% indica hybrid strain that was made by crossing the Blueberry strain with an unknown sativa.
I removed the untrimmed leaves from the buds for a smooth and flavorful smoke.
After the leaves were removed, the sweet strawberry with light mint scent appeared.
Haggard looking outdoor grown buds, but I see lots of long pistils and an encrusted layer of trichomes.
I rolled up a sample with Elements Rice papers. Ultra Thin papers, they burn lovely, the only rice rolling papers I've been able to find. I've heard OCB makes Rice papers, but every time I get my hands on a pack they end up being made with flax.
Spot on strawberry 🍓 taste with these buds, light minty and herbal flavors too. The head is instantly cushioned, especially behind the eyes, then the smooth energy from this sativa leaning hybrid creeps in. Decently clear head, not too laid back, a cheerful day buzz.
Do you ever roll with Rice Papers?
So over time thc will degrade and the CBN cannabanoind goes up, producing a sleepy effect. Can’t say I’ve used rice papers. I am a bowl type of guy!
I like hemp papers the most, then wood and rice, corn fiber's alright, kinda sweet .. Flax papers seem to get crispy when they get heated, I'm not a fan of those .. Nice, so if i have some buds that are a little too hype then i'll let them get a little stale first before smoking :D
