Cannabis Shrinks Tumors and the Government Has Known Since 1974

After the boom of recreational drug use in the 1960’s, the government cracked down on drugs. They brought in a variety of laws to stop the use of recreational drugs – including cannabis.

But shortly after it was outlawed, researchers became aware of the ability of cannabis in the fight against cancer.

A ’74 study conducted on mice showed how THC, a substance derived from cannabis actively shrank tumors. But, fearing that this information would get into the public domain, it was locked away by the DEA.

This information was kept secret until the year 2000, when a study in Madrid also found that cannabis has the ability to shrink cancer cells.

It was presented to the world as a miracle cure, but the U.S government had actually found this out years earlier.

The Madrid study led on to the vast amount of cannabis studies we have today, and the ongoing testing of medical marijuana.

It has been confirmed by many studies in recent years that cannabis has the ability to heal the body. It has been found to be successful in treating cancer, epilepsy and even PTSD.

Ironically, the ’74 study, conducted by researchers at the Medical College of Virginia had been set up to see if marijuana was bad for the body. Funded by the National Institute of Health, the initial aim of the study was to prove that marijuana was harmful to the immune system.

When the opposite was found, the study was shut down and the results were kept under lock and key. The U.S government had decided that marijuana was bad, and they wanted to keep it that way.

In the Madrid study in 2000, for the first time the world was told just how effective against cancer cells THC can be.

From the study:

“All the rats left untreated uniformly died 12-18 days after glioma (brain cancer) cell inoculation… Cannabinoid (THC)-treated rats survived significantly longer than control rats. THC administration was ineffective in three rats, which died by days 16-18. Nine of the THC-treated rats surpassed the time of the death of untreated rats and survived up to 19-35 days. Moreover, the tumor was completely eradicated in three of the treated rats.”

The study was led by Dr. Manuel Guzman of Complutense University, who had heard whispers of the earlier study.

He said:

“I am aware of the existence of that research. In fact, I have attempted many times to obtain the journal article on the original investigation by these people, but it has proven impossible,”

“We know that large amounts of information have since disappeared.”

This doesn't surprise most of us, in fact it makes perfect sense when we consider the billions that are made from big pharma synthesising the chemicals naturally found in cannabis. They do this because you can't have a patent on nature (hence the interest in gmo food and cannabis, because you can patent and control that) and if cannabis was openly legal or decriminalised people could grow their own medicine for free! And that's bad for business!
