A small candle that is shrinking
Candles symbolize warmth and tranquility, a small flame that can change the atmosphere of a room to be more intimate and peaceful. When the wick begins to burn, its soft light dances in the air, creating vivid shadows on the walls as if it has its own story. Candles are not only a source of light, but also guardians of the atmosphere, accompanying silent nights with their light that never screams, only whispers in silence. In every drop of its melting, the candle tells the story of the journey of time slowly running out to illuminate its surroundings. There is a philosophy in candles that teaches about sacrifice; it gives itself until there is nothing left for the sake of people who need its light. Likewise, sometimes we have to melt our egos and give our best for others, even if it means reducing a part of ourselves.
Not only as a light, candles also have spiritual and emotional meaning. In rituals and prayers, it becomes a symbol of hope, a link between humans and something greater than themselves. The aroma of scented candles brings tranquility, bringing back memories that may have long been forgotten, while its flame bears witness to important moments, both in celebration of happiness and in reflection of sadness. Candles are small miracles that we often take for granted. Yet, behind its simple light, lies a profound philosophy of life—about serenity, sacrifice, hope, and eternity in memory. It reminds us that even though we are small and fragile, we can still be a light to the world around us.
