Time for an alternative political choice for Canadian taxpayers
If we, as patriotic Canadians expect our country to function within a set of conservative principles—small c conservative principles to be precise—we need to elect candidates who advocate a principled approach to governing.
We know such principles can be built on uncomplicated and proven ideas; rights with responsibilities, family, honest work and low taxation; local-level decision-making. Keep the message simple, precise, and consistent.
A platform of clear practical policies which are easy to share with family and friends.
Bite-size, or rather right-sized nuggets of comprehensive policy to share across today’s social-media environment.
Policies must be easy to translate into actions which can be administered by a small, well, at least, a smaller government, but just for the near term. There needs to be a return to a situation where once elected, politicians work for taxpayers not the United Nations.
Government is an avatar of the citizens. Taxpayers calling the shots.
Citizens are the country, province, or city. Its anywhere families reside, it’s where they raise children; it’s where they work and yes, pay taxes.
Successive governments long-ago decided to treat middle-class families as a cash-cow to fund a more intrusive, unproductive, and unaccountable bureaucracy.
The time has come to downsize the political-class.
Elites are way out of touch, long out of control, and very soon out of time!
We’ve seen the pictures, the grinning politician’s platitudinous public proclamations while propping up one end of an oversize cardboard cheque. Funding for a playground, a school, a few kilometers of asphalt is the local low-dollar buyoff, peanuts.
“Canada’s international assistance spending increased by 3.7% to CAD$5.6 billion in 2017, up from CAD$5.4 billion in 2016. International assistance accounts for approx. 1.7% of 2017 federal budget spending –unchanged from last years 1.7% budget expenditure in 2016.” source |
The really serious money is leaving the country by the billions.
From funding Foreign Aide and UN led projects, the big bucks crosses oceans to die.Taxpayers would be shocked to learn how much wealth leaves Canada, of no benefit to Canadians, and never intended as such. For starters, vast sums just up and vanish. Funneled into offshore bank accounts of favored well connected families. Or diverted to fund attacks on democracy.
"The largest recipient [of Canadian International Aid] in 2017 was Afghanistan (CAD$233 million), followed by Ethiopia (CAD$193 million), Jordan (CAD$157 million), Haiti (CAD$127 million), and Mali (CAD$126 million)." source |
The priorities for a government must return to protecting Canadians’ sovereignty.
That means way less UN, massive cuts to foreign aid, and zero support for scams like the Paris Accord.Canadian taxpayers deserve made in Canada policies that work in Canada and for those very same taxpayers, families, and importantly for our future generations.
I hope the Peoples Party of Canada lead by Maxime Bernier can deliver a government that works with earnest consistent effort to shrink government, reduce taxes, and to again make Canadians’ well-being their highest priority.
Imagine if the Liberals in 2019 return with a majority. As a result, Canada will surely fall into the ruin of globalism.
I put my trust in Mad Max to lead Canada back to prosperity. Do your future a favor; look into this new party, a fresh alternative for all overburdened taxpayers. Look into the Peoples Party of Canada, your future self might just thank you.
