For the LOVE of BAKING
Hola Steemians!! Here I am again to share one of my favourite past time - BAKING!
I started baking in October 2014. What draws my interest to start baking was when I saw my childhood friends baked so well and decorated their cakes so beautifully. Then, I thought to myself, I'd like to create beautiful cakes for my love ones too. And to bake to their taste liking and their favourite design.
So, I slowly learnt baking using premix, and then using loose ingredients via Youtube and Google. Late nights after late nights, after sometime, being in the typical Chinese ethnic in Malaysia society, many Chinese complained that my cakes are too sweet. My mom complained whenever I bake, saying she will develop diabetes by eating all my cakes alone. My dad doesn't like cakes. She wants to give to the neighbours. Haha!
So I started creating my own recipe through trial and error. Viola! Some recipes made it to victory! Some not quite because it still need a certain level of sweetness to get the flavour right.
I enjoy baking because I love to see happy faces when I deliver the cakes to my family or friends or clients. The excitement and smiles on their faces are my reward. That is the sort of achievement feeling that I love. It felt like, I have made someone's day. Happy client, happy baker - me.
So here are some of my creations. Most of my creation designs are chosen by my clients. There are 3 types of cakes featured. Buttercream, fondant designs and 3D jelly cake.
I am still a junior baker, hoping to keep learning and improve. Presenting some of my humble works. Please feel free to comment for my better improvement.

WOW! That doesn't look like a junior baker's craftsmanship. I admire people who can bake AND decorate cakes. I said AND because a lot of people can bake but not all of them have the talent to decorate. I am a lousy cook and never bake anything, seriously :P
