Wildlife and Scenery in Cades Cove Tennessee
Beautiful Day in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Cades Cove
Great weather today for a drive through the scenic and historic Cades Cove loop in the Great Smoky Mountains national park in Tennessee. We started later in the day so we could be be in the park around dusk to see wildlife be more active as they tend to be moving more during the early morning and later in the day. And this decision proved to be right on as we were treated to many amazing views and witnessed quite a few of the parks types of wildlife out on display.
Below are just some of the photos we took today, many deer were on the move around dusk, turkeys, horses (part of a nearby stable that gives rides to visitors for a cost) and also we were fortunate enough to see a few bears as well.
Native Creatures of the Cove
Below: The bear pic is a tad out of focus as there was quite the crowd trying to get pics!
Smoky Mountain Views
If you have never been to the Great Smoky Mountains national park, you're missing out on some fantastic scenery and an experience that will make you want to visit again and again. We plan on checking out many other parts of the park as well as some of the local attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so more posts with pictures will be coming on those.
