RE: The day she lost #bycolemancontest
Wow! What a story @princesslilo, Sara! You are an incredible story-teller and writer!
I am deeply sorry for the pain and loss you suffered when you lost your Dad! I don't know if a child ever fully "recovers"! I guess learning to adapt and deal with the reality is really the only choice. It's either that or continue to suffer!
I hope you have been able to find some measure of peace. I have no doubt your happiness would be all he could and would ever want for you! Live a life that would make him smile! As a parent, I know the happiness of our children is one thing that puts a smile on our faces and in our hearts!
Thank you for telling your story and telling it so very well!

Thank you so much for your comment. Indeed, it is always a choice between choosing to suffer or be happy. I choose to be happy. I heard it said that pain is inevitable but suffering is optional. I know that God has a reason He took my dad so early. I am even thinking I won't be the same person if he were still alive. Just remembering how arrogant, stubborn and selfish I was back then makes me cringe. Hahaha! Life is good. All is well. Thank you again, @kismet2018! I truly appreciate all that you said.
The light-heartedness in your reply made me smile @princesslilo!
"Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional" is one of my favorite quotes. Reminding ourselves of this can spare us needless further suffering!
So glad you have gone on to live your life, making choices for happiness!
Cheers to happiness!
