B&W Photo Contest - Asia-Pacific Entry #3 - 'High level Asian Moms'

Here is my 3rd entry to the #bwphotocontest for Asia-Pacific.

Titled ‘High level Asian Moms’, this photo was taken in Salleri, the main town of Solukhumbu Nepal. We spent the night here to recharge ourselves before embarking on the 4 day trek to Waku (where I shot that woman in entry #1).

This town sits at altitudes high above 2000m, where the sun gets very strong, especially with the cold air flowing in from Mt. Everest standing behind in the backdrop. I got out of bed and stepped outside, and immediately regretted that decision because of the cold air, harsh sun, and lack of breath. Then I see on my left, a woman performing the most perfect asian squat with her sleeves rolled up pounding on the wet laundry with her bare hands. Her daughter stands in the background, shading herself from the sun, watching the morning light emerge from the mist of the alpine clouds.
