It was an honor to be able to judge such a fantastic contest. Obviously @papa-pepper really likes animals, so what better category of Black & White photos could I have picked to judge. From tiny insects to huge mammals, from common cats to more obscure leeches, from live birds to dead fish, the Steemians really brought the variety this week. Of course it is always tough to make decisions like this, but in the end I had to pick some favorites. Thanks to everyone who entered! It was a blast seeing all of your creativity and hard work!

              Really beautiful photos. They have a real sense of stillness and calm. Congratulations to @cheeto.blue and all the other winners. I particularly like @twistychips entry and that of @mctiller . Thank you @daveks for these competitions; it's a great way to get the community talking.
