POSSIBLE FRAUD

in #busy6 years ago
Hi steemians friends, this is written with the intention of showing you how financial speculation works.

It will possibly save your savings, particularly if you have been drawn to the Petro issue.

I will try to do this in the most concise and understandable way possible.

SOURCE

On August 20, 2018 Maduro declared and confirmed that his government officially anchored the value of Petro to a current average international value of a barrel of oil, established by the government (BCV) at $ 60, and simultaneously set the new official variable exchange rate ( DICOM) to be equivalent to the unofficial dollar exchange rate of today's dollar (DT) of 60 Bs./dollar at that time.

On August 20, 2018

1 Petro = $ 60 (official price announced at the BCV)
$ 1 = 60 Bs. (DICOM)
$ 1 = 60 Bs. (DT)
1 Petro = 3600 Bs. (DICOM)
1 Petro = 3600 Bs. (DT)

This means that if that same day you could have bought 1 Petro, you would have paid 3600 Bs., Or if you had dollars at that time, you would have paid $ 60, period, nothing more, nothing less, unless you bought it from a reseller (bachaquero).

But …

Today, just 50 days from those statements from Maduro on August 20, the situation is very different.

On October 8, 2018

1 Petro = $ 60 (official price announced at the BCV)
$ 1 = 62 Bs. (DICOM)
$ 1 = 101 Bs. (DT)
1 Petro = 3720 Bs. (DICOM)
1 Petro = 6060 Bs. (DT)

This means that if you wanted to buy 1 Petro today, at this time, you would have to pay between 3720 Bs. And 6060 Bs. Each, or between $ 60 or $ 62 and $ 101 each Petro, all depending on who you would buy the Petro. Petro, to the government, to the exchange offices authorized by the government to market Petro (see below), or to some subsequent speculator (reseller, bachaquero).

But …

You can not buy Petros with bolivares yet ...

That's the problem …

This is precisely where most of the financial speculation occurs, as in any pyramid scheme of financial speculation, most of the scam occurs at the level of the asshole who does not have the original access (knowledge, contacts, leverage, etc.) to the fundamental basis of the financial speculative mechanism.

I explain.

Maduro announced recently (October 2, 2018 if I'm not mistaken) that we can only buy Petros with bolivars as of November 5, however, between today (October 3) and November 5, one can buy Petros with foreign currencies such as dollars, euros, yuan, rubles, etc.

Do not you think that is curious?

Of course yes.

It is very curious.

Why does this happen?

Why does Maduro allow Petros to be bought with foreign currencies, but not with bolivars (for a month)?

Having worked a large part of my life in the investigation of international corporate fraud, this is what I see (for now), more or less:

The Maduro government will only sell Petros in foreign currencies to give the opportunity to the 1% of the privileged population (Venezuelan) who already have access to foreign currency and the mechanisms associated with the purchase of Petros, such as bank accounts in dollars, to buy most of the Petros that would be allocated or available for sale during the next few weeks (let's say until December 31, 2018).

(Note: That 1% is a representative figure only, the actual percentage should be, in my estimation, around 0.1%, that is, one person in 1000, or less.)

In this way, from November 5, when the rest of the population (99%) can finally buy Petros with bolivars, well that 1% of the (Venezuelan) privileged population will be basically among the only people who will have Petros for the sale since the government would have sold all Petros assigned for that period.
It is then that they will be resold by the privileged Petros at the price they want, but of course using the same excuse [of always], that excuse of DICOM and DT exchange rates to justify the updated Petro price.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: I am almost 100% sure that this Petro scheme for privileged people is part of those secret agreements between Maduro, his government, the senior leaders of the PSUV, the ANC, and the opposition, things that were secretly negotiated during 2017-2018 mainly in the Dominican Republic Among those agreements I am pretty sure that Maduro agreed to limit the amount of Petros sold by the government every so often to give those privileged people the opportunity to enrich themselves "legitimately" at the expense of the poor people cheated by the asshole and without access to the currencies, to be forced to buy Petros in bolivars --- if they wanted of course --- at speculative prices when after each period of official sale, there is no more Petros left to the government to sell in bolivars).

EXAMPLE:

On October 3, the government authorizes (or assigns) the sale - until December 31 - of only 1,000,000 Petros to $ 60 each, but only affordable with dollars before November 5.

Between October 3 and November 2 (the Friday before November 5), the privileged (1,000 people say) buy all the 1,000,000 Petros allocated until December 31, each one buying 1000 Petros and paying a total of $ 60,000 (1000 Petros x $ 60 each).

(IMPORTANT NOTE: Among the privileged are the exchange offices officially designated and authorized by Maduro on October 1, 2018 to market the Petros.
I'm pretty sure that the partners of these companies here in Venezuela are part of those privileged.)

Good …

On November 5 (a Monday) Maduro announces that now the Petros can be bought with bolivars, that is, they can be bought by the rest of the non-privileged population, for that 99%, we assholes that we have never had access to. the mechanisms related to foreign currencies ...

But …

Surprise!

That same week of November 5, an ad appears on the Petro website that says something like:

Dear customers, excuse me, but the Petros available for sale in bolivars have been sold out until December 31, 2018. An upcoming sale in bolivars will be announced as of January 1, 2019, meanwhile please go to the houses of change authorized by the government for the purchase of Petros in bolivars.

Ahhh ...

Then we do the ones that say ...

But …

The situation has changed again:

On November 5, 2018

1 Petro = $ 69 (official price announced at the BCV)
$ 1 = 69 Bs. (DICOM)
$ 1 = 121 Bs. (DT)
1 Petro = 4140 Bs. (DICOM)
1 Petro = 8350 Bs. (DT)

This would mean that on November 5 I, you, and any asshole not connected to the original speculative system, we would have to pay between 4140 Bs. And 8350 Bs. For each Petro, depending on who we bought them from.

But …

Even worse …

I am sure that when we go to the ticket offices of the exchange offices authorized by Maduro to buy Petros, they will tell us something like:

Excuse me, but all the Petros we had have been sold, but if you want to buy them you can contact ..

(For readers abroad, this kind of speculation is now normal here in Venezuela, it is called bachaqueo, and it is very marked for example when one wants to buy a plane ticket from an airline, or get cash from the bank, they often tell us, it's not there, but if you want, contact ...)

CONCLUSION

See what is happening?

Although the example above is not real, it could be.

(We'll see in the coming weeks.)

With the first sale of 1,000,000 Petros, those privileged will have legitimately earned a total of $ 21,000,000 (in my estimation), or 35%, and even more if they charge us additional percentages for selling those so scarce and valuable fantastic Petros for the investment that Maduro has so generously offered us.

(My estimate: 15% on the official increase in the price of the Petro, plus 20% increase in the DT rate, for a total of 35% .If this is not the case, it will be a variation of these two factors, I believe.)

Good …

As you can see, that is the big business of financial speculation, the idea is to cheat the innocent, but to do so legitimately, because that way nobody can blame those cursed privileged to be politicians and swindling officials, corrupt, liars , deceivers, and thieves, no sir, doing it legitimately, we are always the assholes.

Do not be fooled.
