হাঁস-মুরগির খামার
বর্তমান সারা বিশ্বে আধুনিক বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তিকে কাজে লাগিয়ে বাণিজ্যিক পোলট্রি বা হাঁস-মুরগির খামার একটি লাভজনক ও সম্ভবনাময় কৃষি শিল্প হিসেবে পরিগনিত হচ্ছে। এ শিল্প কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টি করে এবং আমিষ খাদ্য যেমন- ডিম ও মাংসের উৎপাদন বাড়ায়। উৎপাদনের উদ্দেশ্যের ওপর ভিত্তি করে হাঁস-মুরগির খামার বিভিন্ন ধরনের হয়ে থাকে। মাংস উৎপাদনের খামারকে ব্রয়লার খামার, ডিম উৎপাদনের খামারকে লেয়ার খামার বা ডিম পাড়া মুরগির খামার, হাঁস উৎপাদনের খামারকে হাঁসের খামার বলা হয়। তবে যে ধরনের খামারই স্থাপন করা হোক না কেন তা লাভজনক করতে চাইলে সুষ্ঠু পরিকল্পনা, বিজ্ঞানসম্মত ব্যবস্থাপনা ও সঠিক পরিচালনা প্রয়োজন।
