Don't be afraid to stand out from the crowd.
In the name of protecting a career a person has just started, he/she can turn down a chance of disagreeing with the crowd. Avoiding to openly disagree with the many happens in jobs, schools, neighborhoods among others mostly because of the fear of getting embroiled in arguments that we feel we can not manage to win. Thus many end up agreeing for the sake of being agreeable.
While you think about people around you recognizing you and your efforts, consider embracing challenges that are bound to rise up as a result of opposing what most people are agreeing with. This is as long as there is a strong rationale for why you are disagreeing.
The small disagreement might be the missing puzzle that others had failed to see which could inspire a great idea or innovation with the potential of contributing massively to the community. It's always important to speak up when we have a different opinion on something.
It also opens us to the opportunity of being better than before incase people around us identify what we had in mind was wrong and correct us.
