New Map of PUBG Take Tropical Theme, Measuring Just a Quarter
A phenomenon that has never been predicted by anyone, no longer a more precise sentence to explain what happened to PUBG. They are not the first game to offer Battle-Royale mode, but for unclear reasons, starting with the popularity in the hands of the streamers, managed to gain momentum to become one of the most successful game in 2017 yesterday. Slowly but surely, the record-by-record is solved with tens of millions of copies sold in no time. Out of Early Access and gliding in the final version at the end of last year, the promise of consistent content support is also rolling. One of them is with additional new maps.
After Erangel and Miramar, PUBG Corp - a subsidiary of Bluehole Studio that is focused on handling PUBG has finally confirmed a third map that will glide in the future. At the GDC 2018 event yesterday, along with a 3 minute thank-you video, they finally showed a snapshot of the map taking on the tropical island theme. Unlike the two previous maps that are 8 x 8 km, this new map will only be one quarter - 4 x 4 km. PUBG Corp. hopes this size will result in density of character meeting points and more intense and rapid battles. The map itself still has no name.
There is no clear information when new maps will be released to the market. How about you? Is this quarter-size map that sounds interesting to you? Or maybe you've left this one game?
