HAPPY CHRISTENING SUNDAY
May 06,2018 Sunday, We celebrated the christening of baby boy named Zuriel. He is the second child of my cousin.

We went to Parish of the Holy Cross Church in Valenzuela City, Philippines to witness the ceremony of baptism. Before it started the priest and the member of the church discussed about the baptism or christening. All parents prepared the important things that they used in ceremony as they follow as:
The white clothing or garments means purity (white color) and white garments symbolized the mantle of God that will start a clean life of the eyes of God and also church.
Baptism water or holy water signifies that life is given to man by God and is a symbol of His grace and to cleansing the sin.
Lighted Candle it is a symbol of Christ and enlightenment of the child by God.
Lastly, the Godparents is to help the parents raise the godchild in the Christian faith. The godparents are chosen by the parents and their role in a baptism ceremony varies. They stand with the parents to support them and bear witness to the ceremony and take their roles seriously and involve themselves in many aspects of the child's life. For me as godparents this is a blessed and you never declined the request of mother to be chosen.
Baptism is one of the sacraments of the church, and babies being baptized are welcomed as members of the Christian community. It is part of the Christian faith that once a baby has been baptized, heaven is open to him or her and this is very important part of our child because it start a better new life and journey with parents and godparents.
After the ceremony,we take a picture with our godchild and other godparents.
