MELATI FLOWER

Jasmine is a collection of shrubs are grouped in Jasminum gebus. The fragrant flower that symbolizes this holiness and purity consists of over 200 species spread throughout the world. Several species have been cultivated by humans.
In Indonesia, Melati flowers are widely known by various regional names such as Meulu cut or Meulu China (Aceh), Menyuru (Banda), Menuh (Bali), Mundu (Bima and Sumbawa), Melur or Melor (Gayo and Batak Karo), Menur, Mlati, or Melati (Java and Sunda), Malete (Madura), and Manyora (Timor). In England this flower is known as Jasmine, according to the genus name of this flower, Jasminum.

Characteristics and Type of Jasmine
Jasmine is a shrub, tall upright creeping, and chronic life. The leaves are green, rounded shape. The flowers are small, generally white, fragrant with a flower crown or stacked.
Plants with fragrant aroma and a symbol of this holiness came from South Asia and spread almost all over the world including in Indonesia. Each species has a different habitat, but generally jasmine loves the tropical habitat in the lowlands to a height of 1,600 meters above sea level.
