RE: The truth about Bidbots.

in #busy6 years ago

Well, I'd say it's more about the ROI at this point.

I used to have a large community of fiction readers back in the day, and most of my posts were making about $40 each. But then everyone kind of left and we went to this linear voting.... things have changed drastically.

The Bidbots are definitely not about getting your posts noticed, unless you bid it up by like $1,000.

There just isn't enough community support for a random post unless you are an actual member of a community like Utopian.

However, it is entirely possible that you could put 100 Steem towards a Bidbot and get 130 Steem back so that you made 30 Steem. Is it entirely moral or helping the system? Probably not, and I don't advocate using Bidbots but at the same time I'm not entirely against them just because we've all kind of accepted them.

I think in time they will go away and simply be a memory, but for now it is possible to get a small ROI on occasion although it hasn't been happening lately due to the unspoken disagreement between the price feed and the payouts.

Sort:

I got no problem with them offering their services, if the steem users want to steemicide, that is on them.
I just dont like abandoning the platform to scammers.

You dont have any readers because the math was tilted towards the haves and away from the have nots.

Did you catch on?

Nobody plays this game because you got to pay to play and only scammers do that.
There is no value added to the bc by buying your own trophies.
The drop from 20 to 50 in coin rank is a clue.
