Another Tuesday, another bus, another freewrite session
Oh yeah, I have the whole bus for myself. I guess thats the advantage of oversleeping and taking the 10 am bus instead of the 6 am. Did you notice? I am wearing my Steemit T-shirt I got from @sjennon and @things when I checked in to SF2 back in November 4 in Lisbon.
I can't believe it's been more than 6 months since I met so many amazing people. Hey @roelandp, I believe last year around these days you announced the venue for SF2, are we getting any hints soon?
For those who haven't heard of him, @roelandp is the Steem Witness who organizes the coolest event of the year: The Steem Fest.
Six months since I went to Europe for the first time. 180 days since I was able to put a face to many usernames with whom I interacted and engaged over the previous six months since I joined Steemit.
I have no idea what the future holds for me and even though I have some plans in mind, some people have told me that due to the size of my Steemit wallet - even if 99% of it is delegated - I shouldn't be so open about my whereabouts all the time, so I'm going to listen to other people for once in my life and I'll tell you about them using a different timing than I'm here today and I'll be there tomorrow as I used to. This is hard for me because I do believe that having an open communication blog allowed me to connect with my readers and also it made it easier for them to relate to my experiences in real time.
One thing is certain, I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm hopeful I'll be able to adventure again soon.
Most of you - around 80% of my followers -met the back home Eric, not the adventurer Eric. From April to November I was focused in one idea: Travel wherever I wanted, with the lowest budget ever seen before, and taking all the risks a sane person wouldn't take.
Hopefully, in just a few days I'll be able to go back to the roots and give my followers what my username promises: a true nomad soul's adventures.
You see, for me, life is not about worrying about the future. This doesn't mean I don't care what happens 10 years from now and definitely doesn't mean I don't think of how to somewhat secure my future. What it means is that I came to realize that the present is 100 times more important than the future and whatever I do today, matters more than whatever I do tomorrow, and whatever I do tomorrow, matters more than what I did today. Do you see the difference?
I don't have a girlfriend or wife, I don't even have a Titan killing long term booty call to worry about (if you understood this reference, I bow to you kind sir/lady). I don't have children, I just have some dogs who get enough love and attention from my family and this family knows about my need to adventure as frequently as I can.
So, as you can see, I have nothing keeping me here, and I have really nothing to worry about while risking my life in exchange of adrenaline and adventures.
I can't wait to tell you about this new Odyssey I'm planning to conquer but I'm pretty sure it will kick my previous adventures's ass.
Remember I told you I was getting fat because I stopped smoking? Well, I haven't smoked in a while (maybe one every week or so when I can't fight the stress of being a virtual whale but being broke irl) and I'm losing weight already. I started going to the gym and to eat healthier and I'm little by little going back to my normal weight and handsomeness (yeah right).
Anyway, this freewrite wasnt as long as the one from last week but that's how freewriting works, sometimes you get enough inspiration to write the Bible and sometimes you are just in the mood of writing an E.L. James tier post - I mean this in a bad way of course, try reading the book, needles to my eyes I tell ya.
Steemfest 3 needs to happen soon so you can get another fucking t-shirt....
Does this one look too old already? :( I kinda used it very frequently, you should see it closely, the green thingy is already tearing down :(
I was just about to ask don't you have any other t-shirts... :D
Hahaha well perhaps I carry that shirt everywhere and wear it only for pics @escapist and @eveuncovered. But you'll never know, until November :P
Now i want to know! Tho, i'm still pretty sure we need to get you more shirts:D
It's the only shirt we ever see you wearing!
LOL
OH........ Quill and Gamora in infinity war!
I have followed you for around last two months on Steemit. So I am not much aware of the trip that you made to Europe (I am actually living in Warsaw theses days). Still, really enjoyed some of your posts in this short time :-)
Ahhh you rock, I bow to you sweet rabbit.
Ha ha!
Thanks man :-)
Damn, now how am I going to find you and steal all of your STEEM?
I'm a good fighter, and I'm usually surrounded by stray dogs who adopt me, you'll have a hard time stealing them man!
Ahhahah @anomadsoul
Kindly have look on this post if have created this for you

It’s all about life and lifestyle
Definitely the present is the most interesting part of your life, it allows you to make amends for past mistakes and better plan for the future, even if there is only planning left, because things are always waiting for a change, I am sure that if we focus on living in the present (under certain limits) we would have a lot to tell in the future, with respect to your new weight, I hope to see very soon a photo to see if you were again the handsome fall in love a few months ago, lol.
Anyway, I'm glad that your life has a change and that your life as a nomad comes back full of fun adventures or not so much, for us, if you need a girlfriend, I'm at your service hahahahaha.
Safe travels on your journey @anomadsoul. I relate to quite a few things you mentioned in this free write. I am a dad and I do have a girlfriend [...did get the Quill reference but we've already established that we have great taste in movies]. My career kind of took off almost the exact same time I got custody of my son. Trying to split a life of travel and being a dad with no family where I live....eh....I don't know how I pulled it off. Crypto and Steemit came in to my life around the same time that my son started kindergarten and I met @vermillionfox. Wild coincidences and although I'm far from living a life of luxury, I'm a long ways from the endless tour shoots on the road, six cities in three weeks, sleeping on couches and floors. It all had a romantic appeal [...probably more in hindsight than when I was living that life], but I'll be more than happy to sit back and enjoy the miles your traveling now, as a spectator. Great work posting on the road, too. I know how difficult that can be. Living the dream, man!
Great to see your version towards life and you showcased here that simplicity is greatness and no matter how much wealth you have, if you don't have simple piece in life then that's really tough to face the phases of life. And good to know that you will assuring your audience that you will going to showcase pro travels and in my opinion that is amazing to explore in your posts. And what i like is, as you said you are living with your family and one dog, don't know why but it was just touching because in your words somewhere the love for your family is reflecting and i personally believe that there is no creature on this planet loyal than dogs and they are greatest friend of human beings.
Yes, people who say don't care about the future, that's wrong, but we have to understand one basic concept and that is, what is future?, future is nothing but what you today so there nothing is caring concept if you implement your productive actions today then tomorrow you will get the rewards of that action and inturn you will going to get good future. Last and not the least, good to see you are fighting hard with your smoking aspect and i wish that your life will fill with health and joy. Thanks for sharing this free write post with us and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. 🙂
@anomadsoul, Well I am yet to see your adventurous side. I have seen some pictures of the amazon but I think you have other really serious adventuring in mind. Well I am patient and I can wait.
Virtual but broke in real life. That was funny. I envy your dedication to growing yours and other people's wallet. I have found a balance of sorts on this platform. I powerup and I sell to satisfy my basic needs. Still not rich or average yet but I paying my bills. May be I will start travelling too. Who knows.
Well I didnt want to state the obvious about your physical condition as thats a bit rude (yeah, us Brits are like that), but since you bought it up, I'm sure once you start travelling and living on the rough, you'll probably lose a bit more weight.
As to getting the handsome Eric back(?) ... 🤔
oh I really hope the SF3 will be not too far away from Panama, or in Panama even better @roelandp =) Fingers crossed!
Would be great to meet you all in person!
