Port of Los Angeles record 9.3million TEUs in 2017
The port of Los Angeles last year broke it own record for the most cargo moved annually by a western Hemisphere port.
It reported that the supply chain efficiencies helped it to a new all-time cargo volume record in 2017 ranking up to 9, 343, 192 Twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) handled throughtoutthe year. The new record represent a 5.5‰ increase over 2016's records breaking year.
The port director Gene Seroka, said over growth is direct result of a conceerted, multi-year effort by the port and its many partners to maximize efficiency throughout the supply chain, all the collaborative work by the broad range and global maritime stakeholders has delivered these and remarkable result.
