Vancouver BC is not much different than Seattle WA. The average temperature August is said to be 64 degrees Fahrenheit but it was never lower than 70 when I went there several times over several years during the month of July. These are extremely "liveable" cities unless you consider the cost of living. Both cities have what I'd consider to be a problem with off shore developers swooping in and buying land, erecting luxury condominium high rise buildings, displacing affordable housing and the people who need it. Seattle also has the influence of Amazon buying up so much of the property, causing housing costs to quadruple in the city. Vancouver is subject to a lot of offshore opium money reinvested there.
