Thanks for the clarification. I didn't realize Shopify was set up that way! It definitely does take out a large part of the overhead cost.

Building a brand is important for sure, so I can see how the FB ads will help there even if you aren't selling anything (though selling to a captive audience is a nice way to go as well).
