Looking to start a Gaming Cafe/Lounge

in #business5 years ago

What's up guys! It has been a long time since I have posted anything on here at all and thought I would let the world know what I am wanting to do. I have been deep in thought about what I want to do once I move away from my main retail job that I currently have. Well I figured out I really want to put all of my effort to try and start a business. I have wanted to have my own business since I was a teenager, which at the ripe age of 40 I feel I am ready to make that jump into it. My biggest problem is coming up with the capital to start said business. So here's what I am planning:

I live in Fayetteville, NC right off of the Fort Bragg army base and I want to open not just a Gaming Cafe but I want it to be an e-sports gaming cafe. My thoughts are having anywhere from 40-60 computers in this location as well as about 30 gaming consoles spanning across all of the current game consoles up until the new system releases next year. My plan is to try to crowd fund upwards of $50,000 before I go to a bank or a location to get a small business loan to start my business. I expect to be able to rent a 2000-3000 sq. ft. in an area that has either good traffic or food traffic. I want to have a stage where teams of 5 can compete in front of everybody and have it look like a grand, albeit, small stage where teams can show their stuff in the tournaments!

The opening to the business will have a cafe at the front with plenty of tables and chairs to hold a suitable amount of people who want to either hang out and play card/board games, surf the internet or just grab something to snack on and soak in the atmosphere. My original plans were to go through a company called e-blue

to do a store build but realized that it would cost entirely too much to go with an high quality build such as that. My goal now is to still do the same thing just not as grand of a scale. The amount of money I would put into that will be put to better use such as better equipment such as computers, tables and gaming chairs. The software I am looking to use is called GGLeap/GGCircuit

which has a monthly fee for each computer.

The purpose of this location is to bring something to the area that hasn't been around for years. The last place had too many people not wanting to grow but I am hungry and want to help my community. People who want to play will pay either an hourly rate to play, multiple hours or a day pass. People will be able to get discounted passes through a monthly membership. Games will be many of the current hot titles such as League of Legends, Apex Legends, Dota 2, CS:Go plus many more. With these hot titles I will make sure we have anywhere from 1-3 tournaments a week with the winner taking a percentage of the entrance fees.

I am hoping to go into the business with about $300-350k which will include what I can get through crowd funding but again I am going to need some help so if anybody is willing to help and donate to the cause I would be greatly appreciative. I will take as little or as much as you guys feel you can spare to help me out. I would even love to have some advice as while I know a bit about business and games there will always be much that I can learn from people who are in the industry.

Through here I will put my Bitcoin wallet for donations. Again if you do donate I thank you greatly. If you don't wish to donate but wish to post some encouragement I will take that as well. Keep in mind I have many ideas and I'm getting more ideas from looking at what other e-sports gaming cafes are doing to sustain their business. I can not and will not fail at this if I can get this right!

Anyway here is my Coinbase Bitcoin address and I hope to hear from you guys and get your support!
