I will agree for the most part. I work in a store and run a team of 10 - 12 at any given time and a roster of 30 in total. The two main picks for me are hard working and common sense. I dont care how highly educated a person is if they can't make a logical decision at a moments notice. A hard working person who can think for themselves are the ideal person to train to the standard that you expect from your team members. I agree with your options as well but these are the first two on me list.
If you have the right team in place who enjoy what they do, then you don't really need to work. The team make sure that you job is kept to the minimal amount of effort.
I like that and you are correct about getting the right person who is hard working and can apply common sense in what they do. Thank you for your contribution.
