Why Steemit Still Has High Value & Massive Potential

in #business8 years ago (edited)

For any skeptics on the future of Steemit and the economy of Steem.

When Steemit grows to what any serious social platform does, which alone has so much intrinsic value, the value of Steem will rise exponentially.

Why?

As more eyes start viewing these many posts, there will be various groups that will want to buy up as much Steem Power as they can possibly get.

The need to become a whale will become more and more important to those with capital interests.

Even if the price fell to $0.01 per STEEM it would still be very valuable, and this is possible.

Though that price would not last long. The sooner we can get this platform out to as many people as possible, the sooner we will see a direct positive effect on the Steemit economy.

Does anyone remember Tsu? Well, if not, Tsu was a social media platform that paid users based on post popularity. It was centralized and payments were based solely off ad-revenue profits. Every post was an unoriginal picture with some hashtags. No real content, and noone used it as a Social Media platform, but just a way to try to make a quick buck. It was literally a storm of copypasta and there was zero moderation on it. This model proved unsustainable.

Steemit will not see this downfall

With Steemit - you can easily see, among the no-content posts, there are plenty of high value posts.

I dont just mean the posts that get the highest payments, I mean the posts that content creators have spent hours on. I myself have even had posts open on my "Submit a Story" page for days at a time until I can get it up to Steemit quality.

I've also made some not-so-high-quality posts, but you have to start somewhere right?

There are artists of all kinds, talent and knowledge everywhere on Steemit. It already has some of the most valuable posts of any social media platform. In terms of actual content.

The only chance of failing, is if everyone gave up on using it.
