Holacracy can be defined as organization of self-managing teams.
Removing all the titles, teams work as business owners and accomplish tasks.
There should be a path to pass from hierarchical organizations to holacracy and this can be the Task Force groups.
If you establish multifunctional teams to solve certain problems in the company and if you empower them, then these teams will function as holacratic cells.
To avoid :
- In hiearcies, people prefer not raising their voices even they have good ideas
- In hierarchies high rank officers tend to dominate the group
This means in the early beginning, two task forces can be formed on the solution.
1- Makers group - to uncover the problems and take actions - since less high rank officers around they can talk freely
2- Talkers group - to remove the stones on the path of makers
The comminucation of these groups can be achieved by one task force leader which will keep two groups informed.
I have tried this in one of my projects and the result was a success.
Since everybody is now aware how a task force acts we no longer need 2 seperate teams.
We are still away from holacracy but I feel we are on the right path.
