My Kratom Business failed before it even started

in #business5 years ago

from giphy.com

Earlier this year I had the brilliant idea to start an eCommerce Kratom business. I thought it would be a cool idea because I’m kind of passionate about the Kratom leaves. Turns out that plan already failed, because in Germany you’re only allowed to sell Kratom as natural paint. I don’t want to do that. I wanted to create a new brand that people will recognize.

I can do this with almost every product, but I wanted to do it with Kratom. I already could see the design and business model. However, now I’m still at point 0 figuring out where to go and what niche to pick. I do have a lot of ideas, but most of them require a shit to of money which I don’t have right now. I am ready to invest a couple of thousand but not hundreds.

Did anyone get some experience starting a business in a foreign country and running it remotely? Does that even work? Legal issues apply, I guess. I would just relocate my store online? Don’t know how that works, to be honest. Someone can share some insights?

Hi dear @aaronhawk.

Sell this plant under the concept of "natural paint"? This does not make much sense.

If you had already advanced the design of your business, with logos, colors and everything else, this change would represent a rework in the field of advertising campaign.
The online business can work in other countries. You would have to handle the shipping and brokerage aspects. In addition to that you should study the pharmaceutical and sanitary regulations.

Have you heard about OpenBazaar for your online business? Maybe it can work for you. It is decentralized and handles the P2P trade.

All best, Piotr.

Thank you for recommending OpenBazaar! I haven#t heard of it and it looks like a very interesting project. I for sure will check it out!

I haven't started designing my business, because I wanted to do the legal things first.

Doing Business in abroad countries is probably more difficult than doing it within my own country. I will do some research on it. Maybe there are books specifically about this issue.

Late thank you for your reply @aaronhawk

I want you to know that I really appreciate your time and your comments

I wonder how's your progress.

ps.
Check out my latest publication..
It brought some real emotions. I've been downvoted by over half million SP (attack of few accounts), however I also received solid support and few strong upvotes and now I will be enjoying the biggest genuine payout in my lifetime ;)

Dear @aaronhawk

Great read buddy. Upvote on the way. I just had a chance to re-read your again. Something brought me back here lol

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Germany and Poland seem to be one of the most strict countries when it comes to laws and regulations I've ever experienced in my life. I just moved back to europe after several years in Asia and it's just shocking and mindblowing.

now I’m still at point 0 figuring out where to go and what niche to pick. I do have a lot of ideas, but most of them require a shit to of money which I don’t have right now. I am ready to invest a couple of thousand but not hundreds.

Tell us more about other ideas you're having. I would love to hear more about it. Anything related to blockchain or technology on your mind?

Oh. So you aren't german?
I've experience starting a business in country of my origin and running it remotely. It can be fun, but it require huge dedication and discipline (it's really hard to work when noone is making you do that).

Cheers
Piotr

Yeah, the differences are quite strong! I prefer living in Asia, to be honest.

It would be something akin to e-commerce. I don't have the technical know-how to create something blockchain-related. I really want to, but for right now, I cant. I want to pick up coding soon because I see a great potential correlating to blockchain technology.

Oh. So you aren't german?

I am german! I needed to know because I want to start a business in India... I require to manage it from Germany!!

Late thank you for your reply @aaronhawk

ps. I've noticed that you didn't post anything in a long while. Did you give up on publishing your work on Steemit already? :(

Hello @crypto.piotr!

I did not give up already! I'm a little busy moving and having a lot of projects and seminars on the side. I will start posting soon again after I have some more fresh air!

Paint 🤔 WTF?

Yeah, it's classified for non-human consumption. So you can sell it legally as paint :D

LMFAO! Pure comedy 😂

yeah, maybe I should open an online paint shop lol :D

By far the most ridiculous thing I've heard in Kratom news in ages..

It is stupid, yeah... :(

I like the color of your paint sir!
It's very pleasing the the eye and
causes me to feel at ease, when I
feel at ease I don't notice the pain!

Well, my guess is the local paint is
cheaper. Can you beat $120 for 1k?

No, but I give you a better quality of paint.

Do you know "What you can get in 1 Steem"?
