The life cycle of animals with metamorphosis is the life cycle of animals that experience changes in shape after birth or hatching to adulthood. In this cycle, animals can experience changes in body size, color, body parts, and fur covering. Metamorphosis consists of two types, namely perfect and imperfect metamorphosis, for example.

Perfect metamorphosis is the process of changing body shape in animals from birth or laying eggs to adulthood. Insects that experience perfect metamorphosis will go through four stages of development in their life cycle, namely eggs, larvae, and adult pupae. The life cycle is experienced by animals, such as butterflies, mosquitoes, ants, and flies. Such as:

Butterflies are one of the insects that experience perfect metamorphosis because their development experiences changes in shape when they are in the caterpillar phase to the adult phase. The butterfly metamorphosis process consists of four stages, namely eggs, larvae, and pupae or adult imago cocoons. Its life cycle begins with eggs which are usually placed on the surface of leaves. Then hatch and become caterpillars that eat leaves for 15-20 days. After that, the caterpillar turns into a cocoon or pupa that hangs on leaves or tree branches. After a few days of becoming a cocoon, the adult butterfly will emerge from the cocoon. The butterfly will then lay eggs and form a metamorphosis life cycle,

Most of the mosquito life cycle is spent in water. The mosquito life cycle consists of eggs, larvae or larvae, and pupae or adult cocoons. Mosquito eggs are usually laid on the surface of the water and will hatch into larvae. Then the larvae will turn into pupae for 1-2 days. After that, the pupa turns into an adult mosquito. The entire cycle only takes 3-10 days.
