Introduction
I just got home from Alchemy, the large regional burning man event in the Atlanta area. It was amazing. There was a hammock city along a lovely trail up the mountain. The weather was perfect for chilling in a hammock shaded by soaring trees. There was beauty, art, and adventure of all kinds.
I volunteered for perimeter watch so I didn't get to see the effigy blow up but I was told by the crowd that fireworks almost hit my back. Because of the recent tragedy at Black Rock City, perimeter duty was dramatically increased. Volunteers sat within arms reach all the way around the perimeter of the effigy to ensure that nobody dashed into the fire. Behind us was another circle of safety voluteers and of course fire safety professionals formed the inner perimeter.
Alchemy was my third burn. I just started this year with Interfuse and Gateway which are both in Missouri. I can't wait until spring to start burning again!
I have another account @steemsilo where I detail the home I'm building in a pair of grain bins. Here at this account I'll be sharing the adventure of burning, my extensive collection of tattoos, and random stuff.
This is so cool and I'm so glad we connected today, as I really have so much to learn from you. I am looking forward to our video on Thursday. I am very interested in these local burn events...really cool info. Thanks, see you soon!
