Budapest - between the North and the South, the East and the West. Part 1.
Hi everyone! Below you can find some photos of Budapest. I visited Hungary's capital around half a year ago. As a first impression, I was surprised by the almost mediterennean character of the city. It was quite hot even in October and a lot of people were out on the streets even late at night. Hungary has great cuisine, kind of a "retro" vibe at times and a lot of lovely sights. Below are some photos I wanted to share with you.
Budapest at night is Budapest at it's best 😋
This is the parliament.
... and this the monument from Imre Nagy - one of the numerous city landmarks
... and one of the more recent local heroes, restaurants and pubs in whos honour can be found all over the Hungarian capital. I found it more interesting, than the actual monument, which - by the way - has also been built there.
A city overview from the Gelert's Hill in the early evening
The river Dunube dividing the city in 2 parts.
...and one of the random more modern locations near the king's castle.
A typical room in a flat from the socialist era. I come from Poland and confirm it actually looked pretty similar where I grew up even in the 80s and early 90s. Photo taken in the Historical Museum.
I hope you enjoyed watching these photos at least half as much as I enjoyed being there. More photos from that trip will follow soon.

Beautiful pics. Budapest is in my travel list for next year. Upvoted.
Great man, really worth visiting. The food is great and the place is relatively cheap.
