Grinch Brownies Recipe

Nothing about Grinch Brownies is "grinchy." They are a combination of dark chocolate and mint that will make any Grinch's heart swell by at least three sizes.

Let me start by stating that the creator of Mint Oreo Cookies is a genius. Chocolate and mint go together like they were meant to be! Right?

You'll go crazy about these if you love mint and chocolate as much as I do.

They taste wonderful and are really rich. You may credit the two types of chocolate and heavy cream for that.

Chopping the Oreos

If you can resist the impulse to smash the Oreos with a rolling pin in a baggie, you should try cutting them into quarters instead.

I'd hate for you to miss the chunks because they add a little bit extra.

Here's a piece of advice: freeze the Oreos first before chopping them. It will considerably simplify the task.

It won't affect your recipe at all if you let them warm up to room temperature.

Why You Should Use Parchment Paper

Please buy some parchment paper if you don't already have any. You won't want to bake without it after using it once.

It not only makes cleanup exceedingly simple, but it also promotes more equal cooking of your food.

Your baked goods won't spread as much as they would in an unlined pan, including brownies, cookies, and other baked goods. That implies fluffier treats!

The Ganache

For whipped chocolate and cream, the term "ganache" is used. (You already knew that, I'm sure!)

This recipe's white chocolate, heavy cream, and peppermint extract ganache is divine.

Don't give in to the urge to devour it all by yourself by sitting down with a spoon! As soon as you pour it on top, the brownies come to life. (Make certain the brownies have first thoroughly cooled.)

Ingredients:

▢1 9 x13 box of brownie mix
▢26 Mint Oreo cookies chopped
▢2 C white chocolate chips
▢1/2 C heavy cream
▢1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
▢4 drops of leaf green food coloring
▢red hots candies

 Instructions

Directions:

  1. Set the oven to 350°F.

  2. Use parchment paper to line a 9 x 13 baking pan. Place aside.

  3. Construct the brownie mix in accordance with the instructions on the container.

4.Dissolve 16 Oreo cookies in the brownie batter after cutting them into quarters.

5.Quarter the remaining Oreo cookies and place them in a different bowl. Place aside.

  1. Evenly distribute the batter in the pan.

  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees.

  3. Verify whether the brownies are fully cooked.

  4. After baking, place the baking pan on a wire rack to cool the brownies.

  5. Heat water in a pot until it is simmering.

  6. Place a heat-safe dish over the simmering water in the pot.

12.Add the heavy cream and white chocolate to the bowl. To melt, stir continuously. Remove the bowl with the heavy cream and white chocolate chips from the heat.

  1. Add the peppermint extract and stir.

14.Add a few drops of green food coloring at this point. To blend, thoroughly stir. (You can add up to 1/2 teaspoon more mint extract.)

15.Quickly pour the ganache on top of the brownies.

16.Sprinkle the remaining chopped Oreos on top of the ganache. Sprinkle on the red candies.

17.Chill the brownies, allowing the ganache to set for at least an hour.

18.Cut the brownies into bars.
