Very Mild NYC Expected Tomorrow
Very Mild NYC Expected Tomorrow
Good morning everyone. Mild air is moving into the picture, and we'll peak tomorrow for a beautiful early March Day. If you want the full spring effect though, flee to interior parts of the boroughs or just west of NYC. It'll be beautiful everywhere, but cooler ocean temps will keep things honest along the shore.
SATELLITE
Sunny skies rule today as winds calm down somewhat and steady westerlies resume. It'll be dry, maybe a little too dry, with red flag advisories popping up due to brush fire hazards. Highs today in the mid 50's and don't smoke your cigar in the woods.
The real mild stuff comes in tomorrow as low pressure drifts away and gives us some southwest winds. Highs tomorrow will be in the 65-70 away from the shores, and mid to upper 50's at the beaches.
Tuesday will start out with some morning sun, then increasing clouds. We'll have the slight chance of a shower, but anything organized will hold off till nighttime. Highs Tuesday in the upper 50's to low 60's depending on how much sunshine we get.
On Wednesday, we cool off, but still above average for this time of year. Expect breezy conditions and mid 50's both Wednesday and Thursday, but calmer winds prevail Thursday.
Mid 50's want to stick around all the way into next weekend, and we're watching a few small systems for some brief spotty rain here and there.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
