March Lion Surveys Its Territory Filled With A Few Lambs

Good morning everyone. March is in full swing now and all indicators point to a typical one this year. A little bit of mild, a little bit of cold, lots of wind, and some rain every 4-7 days. You'll hear the hyperbole on the news about "unprecedented spring snowstorms", but I can assure you that for the Rockies, Upper Midwest, and Upper Great Lakes states, this is their wheelhouse and very typical this time of year.

Low clouds dot the sky this morning, mixed with more blue than grey. Cold air is here and so is the wind, which will continue into tonight. Highs today will be in the low to mid 40's, and the wind will make it feel much colder.
REGIONAL RADAR

Cold air is already gone tomorrow, replaced with lighter winds, full sunshine, and highs in the mid 50's.

Monday is the crown jewel for the next week or so as extra sunshine and a WSW breeze will help push us into the mid to upper 60's. Don't be surprised if a few places just west of NYC and maybe even downtown Brooklyn/interior Queens, hit 70. With that WSW wind profile, expect cooler temps along the immediate shore and parts of Long Island.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

We'll probably see a morning mix of clouds and sun on Tuesday, then increasing clouds as the day goes along. Scattered showers will move in later in the day, and we should hold onto enough dry conditions and brightness to get us to near 60.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

Slightly cooler air and breezy conditions come in for midweek, then we start the process over again in textbook March form. As we head on, I see nothing out of the ordinary in either direction.

Snow lovers, you may officially mourn now.

MANY THANKS TO TROPICAL TIDBITS FOR THE USE OF MAPS
