Bridezillas - why oh why???

Please don't ask me why but I just ended up watching an entire episode of Bridezillas. While it was mindless entertainment, which is absolutely necessary from time to time, I am struggling to understand why any human being would decide to tie themselves to any of those wack jobs. I am well aware that all reality TV shows are staged and just for show but how can you live with yourself afterwards when you made a complete fool of yourself for a quick buck (can't be much more than that). You have to be either really broke or have a complete lack of self-respect to allow some producer and your psycho fiance to ruin your reputation and ultimately entire life for this. #sad
