Discover why alcohol stimulates aggressiveness

That alcohol can make many people violent was something we all knew. But what was unknown until now was the mechanism by which this type of beverage stimulates aggressive behaviour. And now, a study by the University of New South Wales may have found the answer.

The researchers conducted an experiment with fifty volunteers. Half of them were made to drink two glasses of vodka, and the rest were given a placebo (they were told it was a cocktail with alcohol, although it didn't actually contain it). And then they monitored their brain activity while being tested to see how they reacted to a provocation.

As expected, aggressive responses occurred mostly in the vodka drinking group, and were very rare in the rest. And the study authors were able to prove that in the brains of the volunteers who drank alcohol, there was a decrease in brain activity in the areas of the prefrontal cortex linked to self-control. While in the rest, this activity remained normal.

Even though, the alcohol stimulates human brain negatively, wonderful thing is no one is ready to quit! However, alcohol is not a poisonous thing in the world. I would say smoking kills. But not alcohol. Best part of the alcohol is, its very easy to do a party without killing other people while doing chaing smoking. Smoking is very injurious to the neighboring people too.
