Personal Caring - A Concern?

in #br4 years ago

Personal care has evolved to mean care for the body. In other words, it’s something like grooming. Self-grooming is not unique to humans. Cats, dogs and other animals do it. Birds too. But I don’t know if fish do.

Among humans, personal care developed according to the culture of the region.

But over time, we appear to now depend on advertisements to tell us how to perform personal care routines. It is convenient in one sense since it makes for uniformity.

However, how does this trend treat teenagers? The age group is very vulnerable to peer pressure – if you don’t look, talk and even smell like the herd, you are likely to be bullied or ostracised.
So, here’s the deal: how has the present over-focus on personal care impacted you? If you closely follow many personal care routines, does it make you liable to comment on those you feel don’t conform to modern practices? Or do you know of children or adults who are made to feel shame for not using deos or some such product?
