I haven’t run my chainsaw since the middle of May when I cut up the seven cords I just finished hand splitting, and stacking 😅……………
I guess It was time to “gas it up” one more time!
Not the best of firewood, this tree has been dead for a while!😮
Silvertop’s neighbor calls this type of firewood “Punky”🤔…………..
Liz….. what the heck is this Punky, they talk funny in the Pacific Northwest Lol?”🤣
It turns out that “Punky” is a real word, and is describing wood that is soft, and on the verge of being unusable for firewood.😮
“I’ll take it honey it’s free!”😍
With a quick pull of the rope, my chainsaw fired right up!
Within minutes the yard was clear, and Silvertop was once again swinging his “Fiskars X-27” Ax!💪
Two overflowing wheel barrel loads of wood we can burn in the early heating days of late Fall/ early Winter!😊
“Free is free honey!”😇
“Liz…… I did see a few more firewood logs, just up our street the other day Lol!”🤣😇

It’s time to put away the chain saws my friends, the weekend is once again here, and the weather is Beautiful!😎
