The Open Library

in #books7 days ago

I was out for lunch at the Mall and outside the mall I saw this open library. 10 days back when I had visited this place, the library was not there and then suddenly now it's set up. It's going to be there for the whole month of January and then will be removed. This place is always very busy with people, it's a big complex where there are multiple malls and lot of restaurants. Many people come here, it's a family place so there are children also. It's an ideal place for library set up, to get more attention on it and also motivate people to read.

There were books of all Genres, I was out for lunch with my friend at that place and she had not arrived so I got some time to go through the place. I did buy one book, but I needed more time to go through the library. I am planning to visit again on Sunday and check it out at leisure. I did see some good books at display. I am fond of reading and at my home also I have a library with around 700 to 800 books or may be even little more. My friends tell me that I can start my own library if I want to. But then my books are not of all genres, so setting up a library will not help.

That's the library which is set up in the courtyard.

It's quite a big set up.

There are also guest speaker events on certain days where you can interact with them.

You can even sell your old books here if you want to. I do have to remove some of my books, but I do not have the intention of selling it, I will like to donate it.

This is the section of my interest. The book I purchased is "Living in a Mindful Universe" by Dr. Eben Alexander.

It seems to be an interesting read, I already started reading it and getting engrossed in it.
