Always wise to double check books before getting rid of them! We had an elderly auntie who passed away back in the late 1990s and she had lots of books... she was also a child of the depression, so she "saved" a lot for the next "rainy days." We found scads of unused postage stamps (at least 200 USD face value), some 1000 USD in (quite old) cash and even a couple of savings bonds in her encyclopedias and other large reference books. It was quite the treasure hunt!
