RE: Book Babble #14: "Flow" by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

Holy sweet nuggets of enlightenment, @adambarratt! This might be my favorite article I've read here in the steem'n world. This post was an absolute cornucopia of wisdom quotes. You fleshed out such insightful points of MC's book wonderfully, even including his reference to my main man, Dr. Fankl!

Thanks a ton for sharing this and for filtering through a book that, I am sure, is less than an easy read, as you mentioned. By far my favorite quote you shared was the "...when a person's body or mind is stretched to its limits..." passage. Makes me think of olympic athletes (though this obviously applies on mental stage just as much, if not more) and that pure ecstasy they relish in when winning gold...all after devotedly training for years for that moment. Chills, baby!

That being said, your last two quotes you shared at the end of the post rocked me. I am noting both of those and keeping them close. Those are incredibly impactful, offering perspective and even challenging us. I know they do for me. What am I so passionate about that I'd let it kill me? Man, that's bad ass. And in turn, who am I to fault someone who throws themselves into another passion? After it all, it "...saves them from the world".

Hell of a post, my new friend. I'll be following for plenty more. Keep on Flow'n!

Well, this might just be the best comment I've seen… thanks, I appreciate it! There's certainly a lot to think about and draw on from these kind of books. Glad you enjoyed it and the various quotes (I do love a good quote ;)). Feel free to check out the previous 'Book Babbles' and there will be more to come. Thanks for stopping by and for your great comment! :D

My pleasure AB! I will definitely be diving into your blog for plenty more "Babbling"!
