Yep... Ernest, I'm on a first name level with all of my favored authors btw, does this pulling my mind and complete attention into his stories thing in perfection. One thing I just cant kick tho is that my mind always places him in those settings as a protagonist. Nice take on this book by you!

"A farewell to arms"... Ernest is Henry to me and "For Whom the Bell Tolls"... Ernest is Jordan. Last one cheap shot... I know. But I'm a sucker for twisting the end into Jordan survives.

The problem is that Hemingway never use happy ending :(

the one I love more is Islands in the Stream. I think Thomas Hudson is my favourite Hemingway's character because he more represents his thought and his life style
