Calorie Burning vs. Fat Burning

To reduce weight and get in shape, you must follow a healthy diet and exercise on a regular basis. The first thing you should know about exercise is that simply burning calories does not imply that you are burning fat. When you exercise, your major goal should be to lose body fat, and you can't shed body fat only by burning calories. When we exercise, our bodies begin to burn calories, but the calories that are burned are the calories that our bodies have stored as carbs. The presence of oxygen is required for your body to burn calories from stored fat. Your body needs a particular amount of oxygen to begin burning fat, and the only way to determine how much your body requires is to stay up with your target heart rate while exercising. Please keep in mind that if you solely burn calories from carbohydrates, you will lose largely "water weight," which will cause your metabolism to slow down. Consider the calories you burn from carbohydrates to be your energy calories. If you burn too few calories, your muscles will not acquire enough energy to enhance your metabolism, which will cause fat to be burned indirectly. As a result, while you're on an exercise regimen, you'll need to up your calorie intake to replace the energy calories you've expended.

During the activity, fat calories are burned.

Your body passes through numerous stages during aerobic activity before it reaches the point where fat is burned. People will tell you that during the first 10 minutes of activity, you are only burning sugar (carbohydrates) and not fat. To some extent, this is correct. I mention this because if you are not working out hard enough for your body to crave more oxygen, or if you are working out too hard and can't supply your body with enough oxygen for fat burning, you will continue to burn sugar over the 10-minute mark. When you exercise, keep a consistent speed (not too fast, nor too sluggish) so that your body may use stored fat as an energy source rather than carbohydrates or sugar. Also, just because you've gotten to the fat-burning stage doesn't imply you'll stay there. If you are moving at a tempo that is appropriate for your body, you will remain in the fat-burning stage. Make sure your heart rate is within your target range.

At rest, you can burn fat calories.

Weight training, which is an anaerobic workout, is the only technique to continue burning fat calories hours after you've completed working out. Weight exercise is essential for fat loss while at rest. Weight training is a type of anaerobic exercise that burns more calories than aerobic exercise. The calories you burn during weight training workouts are largely carbohydrate calories (which means you'll need to eat even more calories per day to maintain your energy levels), but the calories you burn at rest are mostly fat calories. Weight training raises your metabolism, which uses your stored fat as energy, so you're burning fat even when you're not working out.

Aerobic (cardio) and anaerobic (weight training) routines are required to turn your body into the ideal fat-burning machine.
