Shorts blurts are okay - if they provide value
Based on my observations, the pending rewards on my "farming" test posts, and community feedback, it appears that short posts are welcome on Blurt. The only requirement most readers and curators do seem to have, is that short posts still provide some kind of value. Be that information, analysis, comedy, creativity, etc. Some even believe supporting such content could help set Blurt apart from other blockchains.
My test post with some quick snapshots and recipe will earn about $4 ($2 after paying the curators), while my previous test post without photos will earn about $2 ($1 after paying curators). For those with a camera and software, which is increasingly almost everyone out there, snapping a few shots of random plants is probably an easy way to crank some profit out of this platform's reward pool. (I'm not suggesting anyone do that... but it does explain why we see a lot of that kind of thing.)
So, check out my buns.
Those were tonight. @MediKatie and I just finished ravaging them. Insanely soft, perfect dinner rolls! Made in our kitchen in about an hour. They are gluten-free and super soft, two things that before now have rarely gone together. I've finally mastered chewy delicious fluffy gluten-free bread!! Many millions of people have been searching for this technique for a long time. I'm excited to put together a proper video and post to really do this recipe justice, because I know it's going to help a lot of people.
Yesterday's batch:
These were burger buns. But you could fill them with pretty much anything. Softer than, umm.... something that's really soft.
A few days ago:
They got sliced open:
Yes, they're really gluten-free. Soft and chewy, not crumbly at all. And it stays that way even after completely cooling and drying, for at least a few days. Most gluten-free bread is hard and almost unpalatable, especially once cold.
Pizza sauce and cheese (mine is dairy free) seemed like a good idea. Then back into the oven, which was still hot from baking them.
Pizza pockets! The kids went wild for them, as did Katie and myself...
The bread itself is quite nutritious, especially compared to the corporate crap we had been eating before. It was $9 a loaf... which were no more than large buns, sliced into 12 tiny pieces. The batches I'm making now cost less than $4, and that's using high-end ingredients like organic free-range eggs. You could do this bread for $3 or less (CAD) no problem.
So it's 1/3 the price to do it yourself, and FAR better taste, texture, nutrition. But until now, I didn't have a way to do it without gluten (wheat). Nobody did! So I've been eating expensive unhealthy cardboard. But no more. Looking forward to sharing the full recipe and technique soon!
But you don't need to show your buns to earn good rewards on Blurt! Just have something to say. And if possible, include a few images (or a video) for added value.
