2.) On this post concluding Comment Lovefest, I said "tell us your thoughts, observations, and opinions of the Comment Lovefest. My favourite answer will get 1000 BLURT, and another at random will also get 1000 BLURT".
My favourite comment was by @sammy00:
"So its working
I referred to Blurt Power or BP as BP muscle when doing power ups, reaching milestones or something like that
If we do that than we can say that there is a new exercise in town to get stronger BP
Easy, everyone can do it and it does not require much time
And even for small sample size it seems it is working.
As word spreads this new local Blurt gym can get more new faces to exercise at same place.
You can visit this new Blurt gym in comment section and grow your BP together.
Gains should be visible one week after you visit the gym.
If nothing stop by and say hello."
The "another at random" comment was by @vankushcuration:
Wow, @drutter, what a fantastic result from your "Comment Lovefest"! Seeing a post generate so much engagement and reward for the community is exactly what we love to see on Blurt. 65 comments with a combined value of over $15? That's incredible!
Your experiment has not only highlighted the potential of Blurt but also sparked a valuable discussion about reward dynamics and community interaction. The fact that these comments averaged 23 cents each is a testament to the power of active participation and dedicated curation. A big shoutout to @Outofthematrix, @curationcoconut and BeBlurt for their support!

Those prizes will be dispensed once the final post pays out at the 7 day point. Congrats!
3.) Finally, a few days ago I asked commenters to guess my favourite rock band, with hints being dropped in replies. First with the right answer gets 1000 BLURT, and every wrong answer gets 50! It took a little while, but finally someone got it...
@hangin
"Ok from your hints dropped I will say it is Nickelback formed in the late 90s, achieved massive global fame in the 2000s, and continues to tour and release music."
My reply:
Nailed it! Nickelback is my favourite rock band!*
Note * : I don't necessarily think Nickelback is "the best" rock band. They're my favourite for a combination of reasons, but I'm not claiming they're the all-time best at making rock music. Several bands in the 70s would likely be contenders for that title, but I wasn't around in the 70s, and can only appreciate it from a newcomer's perspective. I will leave that discussion for those more familiar with it. My own personal favourite, that I heard as a young man and on into my adult years, is definitely Chad Kroeger and his band.
And no, I don't understand why they've got so much criticism! They are legit musicians who have created a huge pile of insanely catchy and grungy hard rock. Formulaic? I don't really think so. Chauvinistic? Maybe a little, but hey, it's rock music. Made for radio? Perhaps, but I don't personally think that detracts from the quality. None of the popular criticisms hold true, from my perspective. Let me know if you have any and we can discuss it... I'm not a drooling fanboy or anything. I just love rock, and solid rock bands.
Nickelback is from Vancouver, like myself. They recorded/released their almost-unknown 2nd studio album "The State" just around the corner from where I was living in 1998 (not that I knew it at the time). If you have not heard it yet, prepare to be blown away! "The State" is pure Nickelback gold, done just before they became famous, and really shows their grunge roots. Any Nickelback fan who hasn't heard this album before will instantly adopt at least 4 of the tracks into their all-time favourites, I guarantee it.
Congratulations, Hangin! Your prize is 1000 BLURT.
@hangin also had 5 incorrect guesses, for another 250 BLURT!
@offgridlife, @practicaleric, and @outofthematrix each tried 3 times, so they'll get 150.
@medikatie and @yayogerardo tried twice and will be sent 100 BLURT each.
@iamfaruk and @skyehi both guessed one time for a quick prize of 50 BLURT.
(Those prizes will be sent out after that post hits 7 days.)
Even more than the big upvotes I tossed around wildly, which are now paying out, and the prizes of thousands of BLURT for various members of the community, I think we're learning quite a lot about comments, rewards, potential ways they can be used, and so on. I also feel that we're starting to build some community momentum, as cliche as that sounds. New users joined up to participate. Engagement was boosted. Our blockchain got some fresh exposure. And at the same time, other good things are happening here. Blurt is starting to become something more, and it's exciting to be part of.
Keep it up, Blurt!!
