UNDERSTANDING WHAT IT IS OR WHAT IS MEANT TO BE POSSESSED 4

43 “WHEN AN UNCLEAN SPIRIT GOES OUT OF A MAN, HE GOES THROUGH DRY PLACES, SEEKING REST, AND FINDS NONE.
44 THEN HE SAYS, ‘I WILL RETURN TO MY HOUSE FROM WHICH I CAME.’ AND WHEN HE COMES, HE FINDS IT EMPTY, SWEPT, AND PUT IN ORDER.
45 THEN HE GOES AND TAKES WITH HIM SEVEN OTHER SPIRITS MORE WICKED THAN HIMSELF, AND THEY ENTER AND DWELL THERE; AND THE LAST STATE OF THAT MAN IS WORSE THAN THE FIRST. So shall it also be with this wicked generation." "
Matthew 12:43-45 (NKJV)

• Those who are being used to prophecy falsely in the so-called spiritual churches, through the influence of demons; or those who are being used for fortune-telling, or soothsaying, are possessed with demons. Their minds are already taken over by a demon or more; they are under the influence or control of such demons.

• The person could still be a believer in Christ Jesus, but he or she has yielded to the devil, either consciously or unconsciously—ignorantly.
• Some under the influence of such spirits thought they are being used by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit; but they are deceived.
• Although, If this spirit continues in a person who wanted the truth, a believer, he or she would eventually get to know that the spirit working through them is not of God; he is a demon!
• Such a person can be delivered If such desired to. The slave girl in the passage was wrenched of the spirit, the demon: "AND THIS SHE DID FOR MANY DAYS. BUT PAUL, GREATLY ANNOYED, TURNED AND SAID TO THE SPIRIT, “I COMMAND YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST TO COME OUT OF HER.” AND HE CAME OUT THAT VERY HOUR" (Acts 16:18 NKJV).
• In a case like this, the above Bible passage, the demon was forcefully exorcised or cast out without the will or consent of the slave girl; the demon can still be invited or allowed back by the slave girl (Luke 11:24-26).
• But whoever genuinely wanted to be freed or delivered, such would not again give a place to the demon and his accomplices when they come back (Matthew 12:43-45).

• Demons usually go back or visit again where they had previously occupied and driven away (Matthew 12:43-45).

• Remember, the Bible passage in our text says when the demon comes back he met his former house empty, swept, and put in order (Matthew 12:44).
  THIS is the usual state of whoever is delivered from demons. The emptiness means the person's had not been saved and filled with the Holy Spirit and the mind yet to be filled or preoccupied with the Word of God.
• However, If such a demon comes back, in addition with other demons, to a person who is now a believer in Christ Jesus; who knows his or her right, filled with the Holy Spirit, and his or her mind is preoccupied with the Word of God, there would be no place for him and other demons he brought along.
• Thus, a person who's mind is possessed by a demon, believers and unbelievers alike, can be delivered but What would be the state of the person after the deliverance?
  If the person is not filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, such might receive or welcome the demon again.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

• Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
• If the Affliction you are experiencing is being masterminded by a demon or more, I command their their hold loosed on your life, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

• If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
