The stray, scruffy, semi-bald creature frightened passersby, but the new owners saw something else in it.
Two kitty sisters and their cat brother were desperately trying to survive on the streets. Stray life is hard, but their situation was also worsened by their strange appearance. The furry family's bodies were not completely covered with hair, and there were obvious bald patches.
The fur grew better on the backs of the cats, and there was hardly any on their bellies. Passersby would push the cats away disgustingly, thinking they were sick with mange or something similar. Until they were noticed by the volunteer girls. They took the family to a shelter.
Special Beauty
At the shelter, a veterinarian examined the newcomers and concluded that their lack of fur was not related to their health. The cats were not sick at all; they were just unique. Once they were given names—Iris, Tulip, and Pepe—the kitties started settling into the shelter. Of course, it was better for them there than on the streets, but every pet needed a home and a loving owner.
The sisters Tulip and Iris were quickly adopted. They were lucky as a family was specifically looking for calm and affectionate cats. However, Pepe didn't stand out for having a particularly friendly disposition, and no one considered him beautiful either.
So he lived for months in the shelter while the other animals went home. People looked at him with indifferent glances, and he frowned back.
Everyone finds their people
But one day, Shia and Joshua saw the ad for the shelter. The couple had two sphinxes and when they saw Pepe, they thought he looked just like them.
Immediately upon meeting him, he and Pepe took a liking to each other. His temper warmed immediately, and the frown on his face was replaced by different emotions. But the sphinxes were waiting for them at home, and no one knew how the acquaintance would go.
Excited, Shia and Joshua showed the cats their new pet. And surprisingly, they immediately became friends. Observing their behavior, the new owners noticed that Pepe looked a lot like a sphinx. Not only in appearance, but also in behavior and character.
Most likely, he and his sisters, the result of the love of an ordinary mongrel cat and a sphinx. That explains his strange appearance. Now Pepe lives in care and love.
