Samsung introduces smartphone without internet connection
NOT A JOKE: it's a phone currently available only in South Korea. The Galaxy J2 Pro has no wi-fi connection in order to keep away from notifications and distraction from the phone.
Apart from the fact that the smartphone has become an important tool to stay close to friends and the world around us, it has been proven by numerous studies that make up a distraction from study, work and everyday life.
For this, Samsung has devised a special phone that comes to the aid of all those people who want to stay as far away from a world that is always connected online.
It has the look of a normal Samsung smartphone and is specially designed for students who do not want to lose sight of their studies or preparing their exams. Also Samsung J2 Pro is also meant for the elderly who have no interest in connecting to the Internet.
There is a quad core processor with 1.5 giga ram and 16 giga memory. Inside, there is no wi-fi antenna and the chip required to connect to the Internet. Galaxy J2 Pro is unable to navigate social networks, read e-mail, and send messages online, but can take photos, make phone calls, send messages and watch videos and listen to music.
The phone costs € 150, and Samsung offers an opportunity for students: a refund of the product's value for purchasing a Samsung smartphone of S or A, but only after completing all school examinations.

Apparently one of the most interesting things about this is that the phone is free for students who are writing this Korean version of the SAT/Leaving cert exam. I like the idea, however I think that person constraint should be enough to keep students away from their phones. At the end of the day, we live in a wifi omnipresent environment, especially in South Korea, the market at which this is aimed at.
Overall, I think that they should just make the plane/flight option easily accessible without going into the settings. Also, you could argue that this is a great way to keep the easily distracted people out of University. [Korean highschool/ college entry exams are a lot more important than they are for Europeans and Americans]
